As a Security Officer Patrol Associate in Pittsburgh, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with management and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, stockroom corridors, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or after-hours activity, reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and other unusual conditions through proper channels.
• Support loss prevention and store operations by observing customer traffic, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and following post orders related to opening, closing, and alarm response procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
