Logistics Coordinator

Logistics CoordinatorThis position is responsible for performing all warehouse and shipping/receiving activities. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the verification, movement, and storage of raw materials and finished goods into and out of the Durham facility.Specific duties include:Prepare all documents for outbound shipments for domestic and international (including packing lists, commercial invoices, COOs, COAs, and SDSs)Filing invoices and packing slipsCreate BOLs & schedule freight shipmentsProcess small package shipments for FedEx & UPSReceive raw materialsFacilitate daily pick scheduleSupport the cycle count program and process inventory adjustments as required.Schedule freight & small package pickups for returned materialsAssist supervisor with day-to-day shop floor scheduling.Work closely with shipping, warehouse, and production teams to ensure inventory accuracyOwn 5S of the finished goodsVerify and keep records of incoming finished goods and/or raw materialsVerify and keep record of outgoing shipments of finished goods and prepare items for shipmentDetect and report damaged loads, leaking materials, and other unsafe conditionsCompare identifying information and counts, weights, or measures of incoming and outgoing shipmentsConvey material and items from receiving, production, and the warehouse to shipping areas, shrink wrap machine, or other designated areasUse computer to enter recordsAffix hazardous material placards to bulk loads and prepare DG declarationsLoading/Preparing for hazardous waste pickup to disposal facilityCoordinates loading of freight shipments, containers, and refrigerated containers for exportPerforms other duties and responsibilities as required based on business needs.Job requirements:Solid computer skills: (Microsoft Office, ERP, Paycom)LTL and international shipping/receiving experienceGood oral written and communication skills.Good interpersonal skills.Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.Exhibit good professionalism: Dress, Answering Telephone, Interacting with employees, customers, and vendors.High School degree or equivalent required, Two-year secondary education preferred or equivalent experience within a manufacturing/shipping & receiving environment.Certified, capable, and comfortable on stand up and sit-down forklifts3-5 years experience in shipping and receiving environment preferredDanger Goods certificationsThe physical demands described here and in the amplified job description for this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
