This role requires solid working knowledge of production systems and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Coordinate daily production activities to ensure jobs progress on scheduleTrack work orders, job status, and production priorities across departmentsCommunicate updates, delays, or priority changes between Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, and QualityMonitor material availability and coordinate with Purchasing to resolve shortages or delaysMaintain accurate production data in scheduling systemsSupport the Scheduler in adjusting production plans based on capacity, staffing, or equipment changesCoordinate with Quality to ensure inspection holds, non-conformances, or rework are tracked and resolvedCoordinate outside processing (e.g., galvanizing, coating, third-party inspection)Prepare production status reports and metrics for management reviewHelp resolve day-to-day production issues by connecting the right people and informationSupport new job kickoffs by ensuring all required documentation and materials are in placeAssist with shipping coordination to confirm completed jobs are ready for deliveryPerform other production support duties as assignedHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher in business, operations, or related field preferred4 or more years of experience in production, manufacturing, or a coordination/administrative roleStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP/MRP systems requiredStrong communication skills to coordinate effectively across departmentsAbility to read basic production documents, work orders, and job travelersMust be able to read, write, and understand English requiredUnderstanding of safety practices in an industrial settingStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentMust be able to stand for prolonged periods (8+ hours)Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. independentlyFrequent bending, stooping, reaching, and manual handling of materials requiredGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityAbility to tolerate noise, heat, and dust in a manufacturing environmentVisual acuity to read measuring tools, drawings, and detect quality defectsMust pass initial and ongoing physical or occupational health screenings (e.g., lifting assessment, vision test, hearing test, etc.)Must be able to wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protectionManufacturing floor with exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp materials, and moderate to loud noise. May be exposed to hot or cold environments depending on season. Work schedule may include overtime or weekend shifts as needed.
