Key Responsibilities of an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) (RN) :

• Help train, teach, and monitor nurses.

• Manage clinical operations and develop care plans.

• Ensure nursing staff follows departmental procedures and policies.

• Assist in budget preparation and expense management.

• Conduct patient rounds and address complaints.

• Evaluate the performance of the department and recommend improvements.

• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local standards.

• Keep patient and employee records updated and accurate.

• Report directly to the Director of Nursing.

Requirements for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) (RN) :

• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

• 2+ years of experience in a healthcare facility or related setting

• Strong understanding of skilled nursing standards of care

• Good critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills
