We are looking for talented individuals who are passionate about making an impact in the company and the community. Position: Student Intern, Engineering Department, Springerville Generating Station. This is a temporary summer internship, with an estimated start date of June 2025. Position-Related Responsibilities Review and submittal of Engineering Documents to assist in the completion of projects Utilizing Engineering documents to ensure properly labeled plant equipment according to TEP standard (i.e. heavy focus on systems directly involved with our clearance procedure) Create system drawing packages for established processes to expedite troubleshooting (i.e. MCCs, Standalone equipment, Specific systems throughout the plant) Review field equipment in comparisons with Engineering drawings to ensure correctness Assist Engineering group in routine problem solving using fundamental principles of mathematics and physics Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong work ethic and personal initiative Excellent organizational and task management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical skills Must possess high level of interpersonal skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Requirements Must be actively enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university and pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical with an anticipated graduation date in 2027 or 2028. Maintain required hours for full-time student status, good academic standing at their college or university.
