Paint Prep Operator

As a Paint Prep Operator, you will prepare steel, aluminum, and other parts for painting, and check finished work for quality and accuracy. This hands-on role is suited to someone who enjoys working with their hands and takes pride in careful, consistent results. Work in a supportive environment that values safety, teamwork, and attention to detail while developing your preparation and finishing skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare part surfaces for powder coating by scraping, sanding, priming, masking, sealing, or washing as needed.
• Perform touch-ups on finished parts to help meet appearance and quality standards.
• Load and unload parts, hang and remove items from production lines, and organize finished products.
• Inspect parts for quality and count them to ensure accuracy.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to support safe, orderly operations.
• Standard work shift 6am-230pm M-F, 6a-noon Saturday with additional overtime available
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.
• Comfort working on ladders and handling painting equipment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
• Ability to perform hands-on tasks, including ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
