Join our organization as a travel Occupational Therapist, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of patients within a skilled nursing facility. Your responsibilities will include assessing functional capabilities, crafting personalized treatment plans, delivering hands-on therapy in accordance with physician directives and facility guidelines, documenting patient progress, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Additionally, you will provide education to patients, families, and caregivers while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop tailored treatment strategies.
• Implement therapy sessions based on physician orders and facility protocols.
• Document patient progress and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and progress.
• Adhere to all relevant state and federal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active Occupational Therapist license in Texas is mandatory to commence the assignment.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC is required.
• Preferred experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or similar post-acute environments.
• Proven ability to assess functional capabilities and formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in travel therapy is advantageous.
• Familiarity with documentation systems commonly used in skilled nursing facilities is preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift duration: 8-hour day shift.
• No floating required.
