Business System Analyst

Location: Mclean, VA - Onsite (Under 50 miles) No H1B and CPT 6+ months (PTE) DOE

About the Job:

Ideal Candidate Profile - Core Focus: More technical/Product Analyst who can also "wear the Product hat" (think hybrid technical + product mindset)

Key Project/Context: Modernization effort migrating from legacy tech stack to new/modern tech stack

Heavy emphasis on XML to JSON mappings (documenting, specifying, and requirements gathering around these)

Need someone who can help define/document the required mappings, specify them clearly, and work with the team on requirements

Able to communicate/explain from a business value perspective (not just technical details)

Must-Have / Priority Skills & Experience:

Strong technical aptitude for complex data transformations (XML ? JSON, conditioning/logic/rules)

Industry Experience: FinTech background is a strong baseline (complex mappings/transformations are priority over specific mortgage domain knowledge)

Nice-to-Have Skills:

SQL, Python, database experience (secondary/lower priority)

Additional Responsibilities/Expectations:

Will work closely with stakeholders

May be asked to run point (lead interactions) and support a Product Owner (PO)
