Senior Oracle/Exadata DBA

Location: RTP, NC We are seeking an experienced Oracle Exadata DBA to manage and optimize Oracle databases hosted on Exadata and Linux platforms within the AWS cloud environment. The role includes ownership of application schemas, database design, extensions, and ongoing support across development, test, and production environments. It requires strong expertise in database performance tuning, administration, replication, and high‑availability solutions such as Oracle Data Guard. Primary Responsibilities Manage and maintain Oracle database environments (development, test, production) running on Exadata and Linux in AWS. Collaborate with application developers to define data requirements, design tables and schemas, and assist with SQL development and optimization. Support application modernization efforts by providing robust, scalable database solutions. Lead the design, implementation, and management of application schemas, database structures, and extensions. Provide technical support for Oracle databases, including diagnosis and resolution of performance, configuration, and availability issues. Develop and maintain procedures, standards, and best practices for database operations in cloud environments. Administer high‑availability and disaster recovery configurations using Oracle Data Guard. Implement and manage replication solutions such as Oracle GoldenGate. Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and resource management for high‑volume workloads.
