Product / Project Manager (HVAC Solutions)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Product / Project Manager with a strong HVAC background to lead the development and growth of an AI-powered platform that helps contractors, technicians, distributors, and businesses identify and source HVAC replacement parts and hardware components.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the HVAC industry firsthand and can translate real-world field challenges into innovative digital solutions. You will work closely with engineering, AI, supply chain, and business teams to build products that simplify part identification, sourcing, and procurement.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development (0→1)

• Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for new HVAC-focused product initiatives.
• Develop MVPs and product prototypes to validate customer needs and market opportunities.
• Lead end-to-end product development from concept through launch and scaling.
• Translate HVAC industry workflows into intuitive digital experiences.

HVAC Industry Expertise

• Leverage HVAC knowledge to identify common pain points in equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement.
• Understand HVAC systems, replacement parts, components, and sourcing challenges.
• Provide subject matter expertise to product, engineering, and AI teams.
• Help establish part identification standards and compatibility requirements.

User Understanding & Growth

• Conduct customer interviews with contractors, technicians, distributors, and facility managers.
• Identify opportunities to improve user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
• Analyze user behavior and market trends to guide product decisions.
• Develop growth strategies that increase adoption within the HVAC industry.

AI-Powered Parts Identification

• Design workflows that enable users to:
• Scan HVAC equipment or replacement parts.
• Identify components automatically using AI and computer vision.
• Receive recommendations for compatible replacement parts and suppliers.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve recognition accuracy and recommendation quality.
• Validate AI outputs using HVAC industry expertise.

Supply Chain & Market Coordination

• Work with suppliers, distributors, and internal teams to expand product coverage.
• Gather market-specific requirements and coordinate localization efforts across regions.
• Translate business needs into scalable product solutions.
• Help build relationships with HVAC manufacturers, distributors, and industry partners.

In-App Sourcing Experience

• Ensure users can complete the entire part discovery and sourcing journey within the platform.
• Optimize workflows that connect customer demand with supplier inventory.
• Improve purchasing efficiency and replacement part availability.

Qualifications

Required

• Strong HVAC industry experience, such as:
• HVAC Technician
• Service Manager
• HVAC Parts Specialist
• HVAC Operations Manager
• HVAC Project Manager
• HVAC Sales Engineer
• Similar industry experience
• Experience leading projects, operations, products, or process improvement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, equipment, components, and replacement parts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.

Preferred

• Fluent in Chinese and English.
• Experience in Product Management, Project Management, Operations, or Growth.
• Experience launching new products, services, or business initiatives.
• Familiarity with AI, computer vision, image recognition, or marketplace platforms.
• Experience working with distributors, manufacturers, or supply chain networks.
• Experience working with international or cross-functional teams.
