Our organization is expanding its Hospitalist Division, offering Full-time, Part-time, and Per Diem roles for both Daytime and Nocturnist positions in New York and Long Island.

Per Diem Hospitalist Role: The ideal candidate will oversee and deliver clinical care to patients assigned to Hospitalist Services throughout their hospital journey. This includes responsibilities such as attending to patients in the Emergency Room, on the hospital floor, and in the critical care unit. The Hospitalist will ensure that every patient under their care receives appropriate medical attention around the clock. Additionally, they will coordinate discharge planning with patients, their families, and care managers.

Our Division of Hospital Medicine is dedicated to delivering patient-centered care. We align with the mission of the Icahn School of Medicine by integrating patient care, education, and research, which we believe are fundamental to the practice of medicine.

Hospitalist attendings can choose to provide either daytime or nighttime coverage based on their professional interests and scheduling preferences. Their duties include managing patients in the Medicine units, handling admissions from the emergency department, and offering medical consultations for other departments. Beyond direct patient care, they will also supervise medical housestaff and allied health professionals, such as Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.

• Per Diem Weekend Hospitalist Physicians can expect compensation ranging from $18K to $80K (excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits).

Qualifications for the Position:

• Medical Degree from an accredited institution.

• Valid New York State Medical License.

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Compensation ranges from $180K to $340K (excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits).

Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, collections, and community needs. Therefore, actual salaries may be closer to either end of the range and, in some cases, may fall outside the listed range. The salary range provided is for full-time positions and does not include bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits.
