This is an opportunity to deliver high-quality inpatient care through an innovative virtual model. The physician will care for patients admitted to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist hospitals while working closely with advanced practice providers, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.Position HighlightsProvide acute, inpatient-level medical care in a virtual settingEvaluate patients virtually and develop individualized plans of careDiagnose and treat acute illnesses and conditionsOrder and interpret diagnostic testingPrescribe appropriate medications and other indicated therapiesConsult and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teamsSupport patient education and collaborative goal settingSupervise credentialed advanced practice providers in accordance with applicable supervision policiesMaintain timely, accurate medical records in accordance with organizational requirementsPractice EnvironmentThe Virtual Hospital Program provides care for patients who are physically admitted to hospitals throughout the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist market.
