Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Telemetry

The cardiac telemetry unit specializes in a variety of diagnoses, including but not limited to:

• Chest Pain
• NSTEMI/STEMI
• Cardiac Catheterization (left/right heart cath)
• Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
• Cardioversions
• Stress Tests
• Pacemaker placements
• Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI)
• Atrial Fibrillation (Afib)
• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Bradycardia
• Automated Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (AICD) Insertion
• Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT/Tachycardia)

Scheduling & Availability

The position requires working three 12-hour night shifts per week from 18:45 to 07:15. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, with a maximum of 7 days for request time off (RTO).

Holiday Policy

Travelers will be expected to work major holidays included in their assignment. The holidays are as follows:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler is required to work both. For three major holidays, the traveler will be required to work at least two.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a cardiac telemetry unit
• First-time travelers will not be accepted

Compliance Requirements

Full compliance is required to begin the assignment on time. If compliance is not met, there may be a delay of two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Orientation & Local Candidates

Non-billable orientation hours are determined by the contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 10 hours for a 10-week assignment). Local candidates are accepted and compensated at the same rate as non-local travelers.

Floating Requirements

Candidates may be required to float within the facility as needed, always adhering to their scope of practice.
