If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now!Position Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and DeliveryLocation: Stony Brook, NYDuration: 13-week contract with possible extensionWork Schedule: 7 pm to 07:30 am (12 hours shift / 72 hours biweekly)Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) to join our team in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maternal and new born care, excellent assessment skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, including monitoring fetal development, assisting with delivery, and postpartum care.Perform nursing assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with physicians, midwives, and healthcare teams.Administer medications, IV therapy, and manage epidural and anesthesia care.Respond to obstetric emergencies and assist with C-sections, inductions, and other labor interventions.Educate patients and families on labor, postpartum, and newborn care.Maintain accurate patient documentation in Cerner Electronic Medical Records (preferred).Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.To be considered for this position, you should have:Qualifications:Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.Minimum 2 year of Labor and Delivery RN experience is required.Must have the following certifications/licenses: BLS, ACLS, NRP, NY State Infection control certificationExperience in arrhythmia telemetry interpretation and fetal monitoring education required.Must be able to provide 3 professional referencesMust not have had a professional license or certification suspended or investigated.Must pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and a criminal background check.Tryfacta is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
