SUMMARY

We are seeking a Production Assembler to join our team in a manufacturing facility. The Production Assembler will be responsible for assembling components accurately to create finished products. Patriot Products Group builds proprietary diesel and/or electric driven pump packages. Finished products will be built on fuel skids, DOT trailers, or in sound attenuated enclosures. We are seeking to fill multiple positions on our production floor. Our ideal candidate will have a high mechanical aptitude and ability to work with high sense of urgency and accuracy. This position assembles pump packages by following engineer drawings/instructions and working as part of a team. The assembly process includes mounting pumps, wiring engines/control panels, dressing pumps and building enclosures. It is imperative that people in this position are committed to working safely and supporting a strong safety culture. We need reliable people who are willing to show up to work on time, give maximum effort and are willing to work overtime as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply)

• Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions
• Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications
• Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks
• Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies
• Maintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed
• Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed
• Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor
• Performs other related duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities

• Operate power tools and hand tools to fabricate and assemble products
• High Attention to detail
• Previous experience with diesel engine controls is a plus
• Follow detailed instructions and engineering drawings for accurate assembly
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Works well as part of a team
• Operate overhead cranes and/or forklifts to move materials within the factory

• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting preferred
• High mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency with power tools and hand tools
• Ability to work efficiently on a shop floor
• Familiarity with operating cranes/forklifts is a plus
• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Required)
• Manufacturing: 2 years (Required)

Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.

• Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time
• Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
• Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components
• Must wear gloves and ear protection
