Diesel Mechanic Technician

Join a reputable and expanding employer in Garden City Park, NY that is hiring experienced Diesel Truck Mechanics to maintain and repair their fleet of heavy-duty diesel trucks, including semis, dumptrucks, box trucks, flatbeds, and Reefer trucks. Competitive wages: $32 - $40/hr + bonus Supportive management team Comprehensive benefits plan that includes: 401(k) with match Tuition Reimbursement Program Health, Dental, and Vision insurance Employee assistance program Health savings account Paid time off Tool and boot allowance Shift: Days, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday) Afternoons, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (Monday - Friday) Midnight - 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Monday - Friday) Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance services Maintain work area safety Conduct diesel repairs, service, and diagnostics Service customers and handle road calls Diagnose and repair malfunctions Work with minimal supervision Inspect trucks for proper working condition Perform routine maintenance Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment Repair major components (engine, transmission, differentials) Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements Requirements: 3+ years of diesel/automotive mechanic experience Basic computer skills ASE certification is not required but, nice to have Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred High school diploma or equivalent Must have your own set of tools Must pass pre-employment checks (Criminal Record, DrugScreening, MVR) #J-18808-Ljbffr Pros Mechanics
