Long Term Substitute HVAC Vocational

This position is from November 12 2026 - December 23 2026.

The long-term substitute position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction aligned to district-approved curriculum and Chapter 74 standards. The long-term substitute will create a safe engaging and student-centered learning environment that supports student growth both academically and socially. This role requires strong instructional planning effective classroom management and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs and interests of all learners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teaches district-approved curriculum; prepares lesson plans accordingly.
• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs interests and abilities of the students.
• Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with the goals establishes clear objectives for all lessons units projects and the like to communicate these objectives to students.
• Evaluates students academic and social growth keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports.
• Is available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

HS diploma required. Associates degree preferred. Bachelors degree preferred.

Five years of experience in a classroom setting preferred.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

DESE Chapter 74 Licensure in career area required.

ABILITY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Prior classroom or educational experience preferred

Strong communication organization and classroom management skills.
