QUALITY ENGINEERPosition SummaryThe Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and manufacturing processes meet established standards and customer requirements. This role works collaboratively with cross-functional teams—including production, engineering, and supply chain—to monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions that support operational excellence. The Quality Engineer analyzes production and quality data to identify trends, detect nonconformances, and evaluate process performance. Using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis methodologies, this position investigates quality issues, develops corrective and preventive actions, and supports the implementation of sustainable process improvements. The role also assists in maintaining compliance with applicable standards, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop, implement, and improve quality plans (PCS)Implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrencePrepare and respond to customer escapes and corrective action requests (SCARs)Prepare reports such as VIRS, VPARS, LOAs, and customer RCCA responsesDrive continuous improvement through utilization of CIRCOR Operating System (COS) toolsDevelop, create, edit and implement special process and quality system proceduresAssist with internal and external 3rd party and customer auditsCANDIDATE PROFILEKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesInterpret ASTM, Military, DFARS and FAR specifications, drawings, including knowledge of GD&TWorking experience with writing quality proceduresProblem Solving: Solves problems using systematic analysis processes and industry-standard methodologiesDemonstrates comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and applicationsQuality Process Management: Applies quality tools and methods (e.g., APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, Capability studies, Process Audit, inspection, test)Measurement Science: Analyzes measurement processes throughout the traceability chain to identify and quantify sources of measurement uncertaintyExperience with standards such as AS9100, ISO14001, ISO9001Must be able to meet tight deadlines, be detail oriented and highly organizedAbility to collaborate across business functions to achieve resultsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or a technical field required or relevant combination of education and direct experienceRequires 2-5 years of experience in quality engineering, including understanding of quality concepts and principlesASQ certification (or equivalent) preferredWhy Work at CircorEmployee Ownership ProgramAs part of CIRCOR’s acquisition by KKR, you’re not just an employee – you are an owner.
