Construction Project Lead

Our client is seeking a Construction Project Lead in Charlotte, NC. They are a well-established commercial general contractor in North Carolina, specializing in a variety of projects such as commercial office, healthcare, education, religious buildings, and historical renovations. The Construction Project Lead will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s safety culture and ensuring the successful completion of assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage subcontractors and organize the overall workflow of the project.
• Oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs like Safety and Quality.
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate and manage the project site.
• Lead various meetings including daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
• Attend and participate in progress and project meetings.
• Create, manage, and implement project schedules.
• Monitor project budget and costs.
• Communicate project information to key stakeholders.
• Follow project documentation organization system and update necessary reports.
• Evaluate progress on self-perform work and manage material and equipment needs.
• Approve timecards and ensure accurate reporting of hours.
• Ensure quality compliance throughout the project.
• Support project closeouts and supervise pre-punch activities.
• Understand project pursuit process and methodology.
• Collaborate with field operations leadership to develop project pre-plans.
• Establish field staffing for assigned projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction or Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in managing commercial building projects $15M+.
• 4+ years of commercial construction field leadership experience.
