Safety Compliance Coordinator

Job Summary The primary purpose of this position is to assist the transportation safety management process and provide overall support and guidance to the company’s transportation operations. Utilization of resources from other work units is often required to perform the job’s functions. Key Job Duties Run daily reporting and take appropriate measures in resolving violations, discrepancies or missing logs with drivers. Check Trimble and Peoplenet – checking for HOS exceptions / violations Check Netrodyne for camera issues and notify the appropriate personnel to get them fixed. Check U Turns – if legal, reject alert and note "legal in State". If not legal, download alert and send to Team Leader, Director of Safety, Director of HR and the COO. If U Turn is onto private drive at US energy in Cheboygan, reject and note private drive. Any alerts triggered by maintenance, reject and note maintenance. Check AvatarFleet – DQ Files / Compliance Management for upcoming Compliance Expirations such as Driver’s license and medical cards. Remind the team leader if not complete with 7 days left. Ensure drivers adhere to FMCSA and DOT compliance. Monitor driving alerts Prepare driver scorecard. Prepare TNT update Set up and terminate drivers as required. Obtain dashcam footage as required and monitor accident plan data. Requirements Thorough understanding of FMCSA and DOT requirements and regulations. Effective and authoritative communication. Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Dependability. This position is a full-time position working Monday – Friday with some nights and weekend availability. Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of the transportation industry and related regulations. Demonstrated experience in the ability to balance the needs of the organization and the needs of the customer. General knowledge of federal, state and local safety guidelines.
