Job Requirements Minimum age 15 years, 16 or older preferred. Must be available to work Fridays and/or Saturdays from 5-8 p.m. General Job Duties Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler. Receive and process telephone orders. Take inventory and complete associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility approximately daily. Orientation and training are provided on the job. Communication Skills Comprehend and give correct written instructions. Communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person. Essential Functions/Skills Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) accurately and quickly. Make correct monetary change. Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Have motor coordination to rapidly and accurately make precise movements. Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Work Conditions Exposure to varying weather when removing trash and other outside tasks. In-store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas. Sudden temperature changes in work area and while outside. Fumes from food odors. Exposure to cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters, including walk-in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts. Physical Requirements Standing: most tasks are performed from a standing position; walking for short distances and durations. Lifting: bulk product deliveries are unloaded using a hand truck; cases may weigh up to 50 pounds. Carrying: large cans and pizza sauce may be carried; trays of dough may be carried three at a time. Push/Pull: trays on dollies may require up to 7.5 pounds of force to push. Climbing: infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder. Stooping/Bending: forward bending at the waist is required at the pizza assembly station. Crouching/Squatting: performed occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas. Reaching: performed continuously up, down, forward; may reach above 72 inches. Hand tasks: eye-hand coordination essential; frequent use of hands, forearms, wrists, and gripping items such as pizza peel, cutter, boxes.
