Value Stream Lead - Third Shift

Job Overview Value Stream Lead (VSL) – production or depot manufacturing environment at Subsidiary Make Center 801 (RFEI factory) in Tucson, AZ. The VSL reports to the Value Stream Manager (VSM) and works with cross‑functional teams (Production Support: ME, PTE, IE, QE, PC; and Production Engineering/Test Support) to execute operational schedules, priorities, and goals. The role requires direct supervision of more than 20 bargaining‑unit employees and related technical staff, ensuring continuous production of line‑flow or end‑item products on the third shift. Key Responsibilities Supervise and evaluate 20+ bargaining‑unit employees and support personnel. Execute operating schedules, prioritize initiatives, and drive product‑focused processes, tooling, equipment, and test architecture. Collaborate with upstream and downstream VSLs, leadership, and functional teams (engineering, supply chain, quality) to maintain safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost goals. Provide personnel performance input, career development support, coaching, and mentoring for the team. Lead improvement initiatives—process, manufacturing, and system improvements—to enhance factory performance. Assist with labor forecasts, estimates, and cost analysis for touch employees. Support ongoing safety and quality requirements in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Qualifications U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a DoD Secret Security Clearance, obtainable after day1. Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing or operational experience, or an advanced degree with at least three (3) years of related experience. Prior supervisory or managerial experience. Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles, support team roles, and manufacturing systems. Experience working within a bargaining‑unit environment and a cross‑functional team. Strong communication, sequencing, and industrial‑engineering skills, and familiarity with quality requirements in manufacturing settings. Ability to work extended hours, including third‑shift schedules, in a factory setting. Benefits and Salary Salary Range: $86,800–$165,200 per year (good‑faith estimate).
