Are you experienced operating heavy equipment and ready to work alongside a hardworking, close-knit crew? At Quality Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical, were looking for an Equipment Operator who is just as comfortable behind the controls as they are working in a trench running pipe.

This is a hybrid role supporting both excavation and plumbing operations as needed and is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, teamwork, and staying active in the field.

About the Role

This position works under the direction of our Excavation Supervisor, supporting a variety of residential and commercial excavation and plumbing projects including:

• New construction slabs

• Outside utility installation

• Grease trap installation

• Service installation digging and support

This is not a full-time equipment operating role. When excavation work is lighter, this individual will assist plumbing crews with pipe installation, trench work, and general job site support.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavation equipment for plumbing and utility-related construction jobs

• Dig trenches for utilities and service installations

• Assist plumbing crews with pipe installation and job site preparation

• Maintain equipment and follow all safety procedures

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members

• Support excavation and plumbing teams as needed

• Maintain clean and organized work areas

• Assist with additional field duties as assigned

Requirements

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Valid drivers license required

• CDL required

• Previous excavation, underground utility, or heavy equipment operating experience preferred
