Marketing SpecialistAllSci is an AI-native platform designed for discovering, exploring, and publishing scientific knowledge. We are seeking a tech-savvy, detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to support the growth and visibility of AllSci within the scientific and academic community.This role will support the execution of marketing and communications initiatives, including content creation, social media management, campaign coordination, and outreach to the academic and scientific publishing community. The ideal candidate has direct experience working within an academic journal, scholarly publishing house, or research communications environment, and is comfortable leveraging AI tools to streamline content production and marketing workflows.We're looking for a motivated, organized marketer who is eager to grow within a fast-paced startup environment, understands the norms and language of academic/scientific publishing, and is excited to use AI-driven tools to scale content and outreach efforts.ResponsibilitiesAI-Driven & Technical MarketingUse AI-powered content tools to draft, edit, and optimize marketing copy, newsletters, and social postsImplement and maintain marketing automation workflows, including email sequences and audience segmentationMonitor and report on performance metrics using analytics and dashboard toolsApply SEO best practices for website and content optimizationContent & Campaign MarketingExecute marketing plans aligned to AllSci's growth objectivesWrite, edit, and distribute emails, newsletters, articles, blog posts, and social media contentManage AllSci's website and social media accounts and other owned distribution channelsBuild and maintain content calendars and campaign timelines across channelsCompile qualitative and quantitative reports on distribution, engagement, and campaign performanceBranding & Community EngagementLead outreach to the academic and scientific publishing community, including researchers, journals, and industry contactsCoordinate AllSci's presence at relevant academic and industry conferences and eventsMaintain relationships with media, influencers, and academic partnersCoordinate with vendors and agencies as neededRequired Experience & Qualifications1-3 years of marketing, communications, or related experience, ideally within an academic journal, scholarly publishing house, or scientific/research organizationComfortable and curious using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, AI writing/design assistants) to support content creation and marketing efficiencyStrong written and verbal English communication skills, with an ability to translate scientific/academic concepts into engaging contentWorking knowledge of social media platforms and basic content management systems (CMS)Familiarity with marketing or analytics platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Google Analytics) a plusHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyInterest in scientific publishing, research communication, or academia strongly preferredAvailable to work full time in person at the North Bethesda office$70,000 - $90,000 a year Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
