MRI Technologist

MRI TechnologistCancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting for an experienced MRI Technologist for our busy Imaging Department. The MRI Technologist works under the general direction of the PET/CT Manager with the clinical supervision of the reading physician, and performs examinations of patients of all ages for the purpose of assisting in the diagnosis of patients' illnesses. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:Performs ordered MRI examinations of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site reading physicianMaintains patient care, comfort, and safety during the transport to and from the mobile coach/facility, and during the examMaintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programsUnder guidance and approval of supervising physician, administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocolsCompletes and signs the patient screening form and reviews/explains the procedure to the patientProvides images to the radiologist in the desired formatPerforms equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team membersIf applicable, assists with the set up and/or shut down of equipment in accordance with CSNF and/or manufacturers' guidelinesMaintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach/facilityCompletes necessary administrative tasks (i.e. EMR charges, QA, Imaging Assessments)Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentialityCooperates with facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies/proceduresMaintains current permits to practiceAll other duties as assignedFull time Position M-FEducation and Experience:High School Diploma or EquivalentCertification through an accredited Radiology Program.Two (2) to Five (5) years of MRI experience requiredCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:Registered with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.Current ARRT(MR) certified or eligible technologistCompensation and Benefits:Salary is commensurate with experience and qualificationsCancer Specialists of North Florida is an "EEO Employer" and "Drug Free Workplace"
