We are seeking experienced Production Control Specialists to support a high-volume aerospace manufacturing operation in Cape Canaveral, FL. This role is focused on reducing production backlogs, managing work orders, expediting materials, and maintaining accurate ERP/MRP data to keep production moving.

Responsibilities

• Drive down work-order backlogs by reviewing, updating, and closing aged or stalled work orders.
• Identify and resolve kitted-but-stalled parts, material shortages, and production blockers.
• Execute targeted expediting efforts on high-priority jobs to prevent schedule delays.
• Support day-to-day work-center coverage and help keep WIP moving.
• Maintain accurate ERP/MRP and work-order data.
• Communicate daily status on backlog reduction, expedite activity, and shift handoffs.
• Identify recurring constraints and escalate issues to appropriate production leadership.
• Partner with Production Control teams and support work-center ownership as needed.
• Assist other work centers once assigned backlog and technical debt have been reduced.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in Production Control, Production Planning, Manufacturing Planning, or a related production environment .
• Experience with schedule management, expediting, work orders, or backlog/data cleanup .
• Hands-on experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Costpoint, or similar systems.
• Comfortable working directly with ERP/MRP data and work orders.
• Ability to work independently with minimal ramp-up in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work off-nominal shifts and/or overtime when required .

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with backlog remediation, data cleanup, or production expediting .
• Experience with MS Office and MS Project .
• Familiarity with Jira/ITS and AI tools .
• Experience supporting both development and production manufacturing environments.
• Aerospace or automotive manufacturing experience.
