Schedule

Night shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, with a requirement for 12-hour shifts and every other weekend support.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care RN to join our Medical ICU team. The unit features 10 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1 in ICU management and 4-5:1 in PCU overflow. This position is essential in providing advanced care to critically ill patients and assisting in various bedside procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients, including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
• Assist providers with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertion and intubations.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team while adhering to unit-specific protocols and guidelines.
• Perform bedside shift report to ensure optimal patient experience.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have Medical ICU experience in a large facility.
• Comfortable with advanced skills in ventilator management and critical care pharmacology.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Active RN license in North Carolina.
