Surgical ICU Intensivist

Position Responsibilities

• Our 40-bed surgical ICU (20 cardiac/20 neuro) is staffed 24/7 with an Intensivist. The physician will work about 12-14, 12 hour shifts per month, rotating between consecutive day and night shifts.
• As an Intensivist, you will be the SICU Attending with responsibility for Critical Care in-house response, initial evaluations of new admissions to the unit, and collaborate with primary attending or surgeon.
• Opportunity to be involved in the general surgery call pool.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered multidisciplinary critical care. 

• BE/BC in critical care with excellent clinical training
• BE/BC in general surgery
• Advanced training in critical care preferred
• Those with strong interest in clinical research and medical education are encouraged to apply
