STOREROOM ATTENDANT (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Job Summary Responsible for receiving, storing, and inventorying all departmental supplies and food, and maintaining sanitation in storage areas. Location & Schedule Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital – 660 North Westmoreland Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045. Full‑time and part‑time positions. Monday‑through‑Friday with rotating weekends. Hours vary by schedule. Qualifications Previous food service experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Responsibilities Inventory and maintain necessary food and other supplies to ensure efficient operation of the Food Service Department. Store food and supplies in correct containers and proper storage areas according to department guidelines. Maintain records and logs documenting storage temperatures of perishable food items per standards. Label and rotate stock according to oldest-to-first usage procedures. Order food and supplies based on product specifications per company ordering protocols. Secure designated areas to prevent theft, handle dangerous chemicals, and safeguard associates, following all security procedures. Transport food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles to ensure safe arrival. Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies. Report maintenance or repair needs of equipment to appropriate resources. Complete all daily, weekly, or monthly reports on time as outlined in corporate policies and procedures. Identify and utilize cleaning chemicals following manufacturer directions and MSDS sheets, and use equipment per department safety procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Pay $16.50 to $17.00 per hour.
