Senior Accountant

Title: Senior Accountant

Position Description:

A highly competent and responsible person to provide a variety of accounting and processing functions (to include payroll processing, accounts payable, invoicing customers, etc.), and provide general accounting support to the CFO in a manufacturing, construction, service, and retail setting.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Processing of weekly payroll for over 100 employees through four (4) different companies on three (3) different platforms.
• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Track open sales orders and work closely with operational leadership to create and submit customer invoices through different customer portals.
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Verify for accuracy, then analyze and summarize gross margin analysis on all significant costing projects.

Skills Required:
• Proven experience as a senior accountant with ability processing transactions in a computerized accounting system.
• Hands-on experience with accounting and operating software packages, like Quickbooks, Sage 100 (Manufacturing), Computer Ease (Construction).
• Experience working in a cost accounting environment (Manufacturing or Construction)
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office products with Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance preferred but not required
