The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level I trauma center. Candidates must hold a valid state nursing license and the required certifications. The Registered Nurse will work a day shift in a fast-paced emergency department. This position may require weekend coverage, with possible assignments on three weekends in a four-week schedule. High patient-to-nurse ratios are expected, averaging 1:5-6, which may increase based on patient volume. Floating to pediatric emergency care may be necessary. The unit focuses on rapid and efficient patient care using advanced nursing guidelines. Additional skills considered valuable include experience in continuous IV sedation and triage. Applicants should be prepared for a dynamic work environment and possess a strong ability to manage critical situations.
