Job Opportunity

Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Assignment Length: 13 Weeks

Unit Information

The position is located in a busy Operating Room with the following details:

• Number of Beds: 11 ORs
• Staffing:
  
  
  • Day Shift: Average of 8 RNs, 8 Scrub Techs, and 5 Surgical Support Techs
  • Night Shift: One Charge RN and one Scrub Tech in-house with call team backup
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Type of Equipment: Variety of OR beds and equipment
• EMR: Epic

Job Responsibilities

The Travel RN will be responsible for:

• Circulating as a patient advocate while providing resources for the sterile field.
• Assisting with a variety of surgical procedures, including:



• Total Joints
• Multi-level Spine Fusions
• Robotic Cases (GYN, Colorectal, General)

Call Expectations

On-call shifts are required as part of the role, with the average being:

• 5-6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift every 4 weeks.

Qualifications

Required Certifications:

• Alaska RN License
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a circulator
• Experience as a scrub nurse
• CNOR certification
