About the Role

The Company is in need of a Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership and enhance its accounting function. This hands-on consulting role is focused on developing the internal accounting team, strengthening financial controls, and preparing the organization for successful external audits. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned CPA with a passion for mentoring, improving systems, and creating scalable processes for long-term success. Responsibilities include mentoring and developing the accounting team, designing and implementing internal controls, establishing standardized procedures, and advising on financial matters. The CFO will also be involved in budgeting, forecasting, and recommending system and process improvements. Applicants for the Fractional CFO position at the company must have a CPA and at least 10 years' of progressive accounting and finance experience, including prior leadership at the CFO or Controller level. The role requires a deep knowledge of internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial reporting best practices, as well as a proven ability to coach and mentor accounting professionals. Experience in preparing for external audits and a background in operational environments such as seasonal, hospitality, or recreation is a plus. The successful candidate will be a collaborative financial leader with strong communication skills, capable of translating complex accounting concepts into practical guidance, and will be expected to pass a criminal background check.
