Laundry Associate

Role Summary Full‑time Laundry Associate; earns $15.00 per hour; prefers prior laundry experience; requires a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities Collects, cleans and redistributes community laundry. Ensures that all Health Center laundry is properly sorted, washed, dried in compliance with State and Federal regulations. Maintains laundry area clean, orderly and sanitary. Maintains equipment and supplies in proper condition. Completes tasks in priority order set by supervisor. Attends in‑service training and education sessions as assigned. Performs other duties assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Valid driver’s license. Ability to follow instructions in English and communicate effectively. Commercial laundry experience is desirable. Ability to process 50–100 pounds of laundry at one time. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Moderate‑to‑heavy physical effort 80% of the workday; lift and carry up to 30 lbs. independently; push or pull wheeled carts and equipment up to 100 lbs. over tiled or carpeted surfaces; stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop 90% of workday; may be exposed to communicable diseases from contaminated linens; may be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat and cleaning chemicals; moderate‑to‑heavy effort 80% of time.
