MEDICAL ASSISTANT – OUTPATIENT CLINIC

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support providers and manage patient flow in a busy outpatient clinic. The role serves patients across all age groups, from infants through geriatrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Room patients and obtain vital signs.
• Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed.
• Collect laboratory specimens.
• Provide telephone and patient support.
• Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations.
• Facilitate communication between patients and providers.
• Perform phlebotomy and clinic laboratory testing as needed.
• Provide front desk/check-in support.
• Order and stock supplies.
• Perform X-ray duties if properly qualified and certified.
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, and clinic leadership.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (ABHES,
• CAAHEP, or equivalent).
• Current BLS Certification.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work with patients across all age groups.

LPN candidates may also be considered.

LPN REQUIREMENTS:

• Active Minnesota LPN license.
• Current BLS Certification.
