Server Engineer

Revolution Technologies is hiring a Server Engineer for our leading healthcare technology client!

Join a highly specialized infrastructure team responsible for maintaining enterprise disaster recovery (DR) and contingency environments supporting mission-critical healthcare systems. This role is ideal for an experienced infrastructure engineer with expertise in disaster recovery planning, server administration, and enterprise infrastructure operations who thrives in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.

Key Skills and Experience Required

• Ability to work partially onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and additional days as needed
• 8+ years of infrastructure or server administration experience
• Disaster Recovery (DR) Planning and Management
• AIX Administration
• Linux Server Administration

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support enterprise disaster recovery and contingency environments supporting critical business applications and infrastructure.
• Ensure disaster recovery environments remain operationally ready through ongoing maintenance, hardware lifecycle management, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Coordinate disaster recovery planning activities with business and technical stakeholders to ensure organizational readiness.
• Execute and support multiple enterprise disaster recovery exercises annually, including large-scale audited recovery events operating on a 24x7 schedule.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, server, and network-related issues during disaster recovery exercises and production support activities.
• Maintain AIX and Linux server environments supporting disaster recovery operations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, storage, and application teams to ensure successful recovery execution and contingency planning.
• Monitor hardware lifecycle, end-of-life (EOL) planning, and technology refresh initiatives to maintain a resilient recovery environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of server administration or related infrastructure experience .
• Strong experience supporting enterprise Disaster Recovery (DR) programs and contingency planning.
• Hands-on experience administering AIX and Linux server environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across server, operating system, and network infrastructure components.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAN Storage technologies.
• Experience administering or supporting VMware environments.
• Experience participating in enterprise disaster recovery testing or business continuity exercises.
• Experience supporting infrastructure modernization and hardware lifecycle management initiatives.

Work Environment

• Partial onsite schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (additional onsite days as needed)
• Standard hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Overtime required for disaster recovery exercises, proof-of-concept activities, and production support as needed
