Human Resource Generalist

CLASS SUMMARY This position is responsible for coordinating a broad range of human resource functions. Responsibilities may include administering benefits; performing tasks related to recruitment and onboarding; and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. DUTIES Research, analyze, and administer healthcare plans from medical and dental benefits to disability and family leave; advise employees, answer questions, and enroll staff in benefit and compensation programs. Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes; conduct employee onboarding; generate official internal documents such as offer letters and appointment letters. Provide support to employees on HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise. Maintain employee files and records both electronically and in paper form. Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommend courses of action. Serve as the HR payroll liaison in conjunction with the Payroll department. Assist senior HR Generalist with payment of bills associated with benefit administration. Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries, processing various paperwork, especially regarding disability, FMLA absences, and employee life status changes. Other duties as assigned. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; 5‑7 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects; sedentary work involves sitting most of the time; walking and standing are required only occasionally. VACCINE REQUIREMENT You must have received either both doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine prior to the employment start date, or have an approved religious or medical accommodation prior to the employment start date.
