Description
We are seeking a Locum Tenens Adult Psychiatrist to provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services in Ogdensburg, NY. The position involves caring for adult psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting with a maximum caseload of 20 patients per provider .

Weekend Coverage: Not required

Job Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and admissions
- Manage patient discharges
- Provide medication management
- Provide routine and follow-up psychiatric care
- Attend morning meetings
- Participate in weekly treatment team meetings
- Participate in ward meetings as needed
- Address legal matters, including:
- Involuntary retention
- Treatment over objection
- Respond to psychiatric emergencies and codes
- Review and sign test results and consults
- Collaborate with medical providers and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Psychiatry experience
- Adult inpatient psychiatry experience preferred
- Must be able to manage a maximum caseload of 20 patients
- Physician qualified to provide adult inpatient psychiatric care
Working Hours
- Full-time
- 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- No weekend coverage required
