Buckeye Partners is currently seeking an IT Analyst, Security with 1 to 3 years of security infrastructure experience, relevant certifications, and related degree to join our growing team! Role Summary: The IT Analyst, Security role will be directly involved in supporting the implementation and administration of information security technologies in order to ensure the protection of Buckeye's assets.Responsibilities & Essential Functions include: • Project Implementation/Management . Complete assigned projects and tasks to assist with the implementation of various projects related to Buckeye's service(s). Document end-user requirements related to any new applications or services.
• System Maintenance. Perform the maintenance of the various systems and technologies. Respond to reported service issues.
• Service Administration. Assist system administrators in the setup of assigned services and administering systems interfaces.
• Internal Support. Coordinate the various IT systems with lifecycle management of assigned and dependent systems, services, and applications.
• Documentation. Manage documentation for all supported services and ensure documentation is current. This may include documents for IT PMO, Disaster Recovery, Architecture Interconnection, etc.
• Testing . Test upgrades before releasing them to the Buckeye Business and provide recommendations for upgrades and enhancements.
• On-Call Support . Provide on-call support during non-business hours to Operations on an as-needed basis.
• Customer Service . Provide exceptional customer service.
• Process Improvements . Contribute and/or Lead based on knowledge and experience. Continuously identify potential opportunities to increase efficiencies and/or improvements to existing processes. Identify gaps in the current business model and propose processes that will help move the business forward. And other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in computer science or business desired, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 1-3 Years of Cybersecurity Operations experience.
• Certification of CompTIA Series Security + is preferred.
• Managed Security Escalation. Acting in the capacity as a first line of escalation cybersecurity calls needing further investigation.
• Intrusion Prevention . Regular review of events and reports management as needed.
• Firewall Management . Knowledge and experience working at an intermediate level on Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto and Fortinet. Regular review of policies and making recommendations in business processes to enhance security measures. This also includes maintenance, provisioning, and ongoing support of firewall infrastructure.
• Web Proxy Maintenance . Assist with ongoing forward and reverse proxy services maintenance.
• Service Desk Tickets . Ongoing review and remediation of security related service desk tickets.
• Writing Internal Security Procedures. This will involve the writing and defining of security procedures for repeat activity that lend towards a comprehensive security operating model.
• Azure Cloud Security. Intermediate knowledge of cloud security best practice and experience with implementing or assisting maintaining a sound practice in Azure cloud.
• Firewall Scripting and Automation . Intermediate knowledge and/or experience implementing scripting, automation, and use of APIs to gain efficiency in security operations tasks.
• Mobile Security. Familiarity and experience with mobile security best practices on devices like mobile phones, tablets, and other mobile personal computing devices. Practical knowledge of related security providers in this space and experience applying security frameworks to these devices in scale.
• And other duties as assigned.

Appropriately escalates issues requiring direct manager insights, input on decisions. Ability to effectively seek out others, including leader or key stakeholders, to ensure best decision is made.
• Customer Service. With guidance, identifies potential issues that could impact internal or external customers and resolves issues as appropriate. Promptly reacts to requests from customers in a timely and professional manner. Reinforces importance of customer service.
• Stakeholder Engagement. Ability to maintain good relationships with the people who have the most impact on your work. Actively seek feedback from stakeholder groups; listen effectively.
• Use of Resources. Ability to lead work including people resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Ability to deliver with resources provided or communicate in a timely manner when additional resources (time, people, money) are required to deliver on time. Develop schedules and task/people assignments. • Time Management & Organization . Can effectively present to and, when necessary, instruct others on how to structure projects according to company standards. Ability to self-organize tasks. Effectively organizes time and priorities activities that advance project goals and key deliverables.
• Self-Development . Takes initiative to assess own development needs and seeks out constructive feedback. Implement plans to improve identified development needs. Proactively gains knowledge and seeks opportunities to further develop abilities. Essential Functions:
- This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.
- This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
- This role continuously operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (i.e. a calculator, copy machine and computer printer).
