Radiologists Denver Health, the premier teaching hospital and safety net institution for the city of Denver and entire Rocky Mountain region, is seeking a PRN breast imaging radiologist for flexible, intermittent, in-person subspecialty coverage. - M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent medical degree; board certification in Radiology; fellowship training and/or extensive experience in breast imaging including breast MRI and tomosynthesis preferred; eligibility for licensure in Colorado
- Current breast imaging fellows are eligible to apply.
- Review and interpret medical images to determine patient status and future medical care (20%)
- Determine exact images required for diagnosis and delivering orders to Radiological Technicians (20%)
- Administer trace amounts of radioactive substances to create and enhance diagnostic images (10%)
- Perform minimally invasive surgical techniques such as embolization, angioplasty and ablation with image guidance (10%)
- Work with Primary Care Doctors, Nurses and Radiology Technicians to administer treatment and manage pain (10%)
- Monitor patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary (10%)
- Create a radiation treatment plan for patients with cancer (10%)
- Manage radiation side effects in cancer patients (10%)
- Doctorate Degree Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited school of medicine Required
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required
- MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required
- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
- Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.
- Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills.
- Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems.
- Performs in a tactful and professional manner.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Computer skills required.

$465,600.00 - $559,800.00 / yr (Pay range listed is for 1.0 full-time equivalent (FTE).
