Appointment Scheduler

Scheduler (Temporary – 6 months) Performs admission of patients by completing all required fields accurately and in a timely manner. Verifies physician orders, patient information, insurance information and obtains any additional information at the time of admission. Performs pre‑registration of patients by completing all required fields accurately and promptly. Maintains access to and is competent in using the internet to verify insurance eligibility and authorization information. Collects patient liabilities at admission and assists with calls to patients to negotiate and collect point‑of‑service payments. Cross‑trains to proficiency in Patient Accounts and fills in as needed for breaks, illness, vacations or shift coverage. Documents concisely, precisely and accurately in the system and on records, patient account notes or documents for every patient contact. Answers incoming phone calls and directs them to the appropriate destination. Abides by all HIPAA policies and requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of previous experience with scheduling. Computer skills, basic office skills, and knowledge of medical terminology. Temporary position: 6‑month role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
