Supervisor – Purchasing, System Business Office – 2 Crescent Place, Oceanport, NJ 07757 Pay Range: $86,306.00 - $112,197.00 per year Employment Type: Full-Time • Shift: Day Responsibilities Manage the workflow of Buyers, including schedules, coverage, and task delegation. Assess work performance and ensure goals, deadlines, policies, procedures, and KPIs are met. Train and onboard new hires and conduct competency sessions and testing for existing staff. Execute new initiatives and projects while adhering to deadlines and budgets. Act as a resource for staff to resolve issues, workflow roadblocks, and stoppages. Maintain daily Buyer responsibilities. Perform daily review of quality assurance reports and take corrective action as needed. Assist with escalations from Supply Chain departments to address process and payment issues. Establish and maintain a positive rapport through effective communication with customers, staff, auditors, and vendors. Create clear and effective verbal and written communications. Conduct team meetings and one-on-ones as needed. Provide guidance on Purchasing processes and policies for all business units. Oversee the assigned Buyer team, monitor daily reports, balance workloads, and delegate tasks. Streamline and optimize purchasing practices and workflow paths to improve the experience for customers and Buyers. Collaborate with management, peers, and end-users on process improvement ideas, plans, and execution. Act as a resource to staff and customers for the execution and implementation of new initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned, with the understanding that responsibilities may change without notice. Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent of 5 years of Purchasing experience, including 1 year in a supervisory or lead role. Preferred experience within the healthcare industry. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and formulas, balance and reconcile figures. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with ERP systems; PeopleSoft experience strongly preferred.
