Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for night shift coverage requiring telemetry experience and PALS certification due to pediatric admissions.
Details
Med/Surg Tele unit in a short-term acute care hospital with 78 staffed beds
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:00-06:30)
Patient ratio of 1:5
Required to work a minimum of 3 weekends within a 6-week period
Possible floating based on unit or hospital needs
Possible on-call requirement
Uses Meditech charting system
Requirements
Active RN license (IN or compact) required
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
PALS certification required prior to start due to pediatric admissions on the unit
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
Tele experience required, Med/Surg and ambulatory experience preferred
Must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients
Additional Information
Care for a Med/Surg patient population with telemetry monitoring needs
Scrub color is flexible but must maintain a professional appearance
Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed over Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's holidays
Candidates requesting holiday RTO must be willing to work one of the three major holidays
Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius of the facility
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Former employees must be separated from the facility for three years before returning as a traveler
