Registered Nurse (RN) - Private Duty/1:1 - Lisle, IL

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Lisle, IL for the 26/27 school year ! This is a full-time position supporting a local K-12 district with private duty/1:1 nursing services. Minimum Requirements Active RN license valid in Illinois Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program Current BLS CPR/AED certification Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including: 2 years+ of professional nursing experience (1 year with pediatrics or special needs) Suctioning and trach skills Seizure management - competent with seizure action plans and rescue medications Tube feedings Pediatric diabetic care Oxygen and airway management Medication administration Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently in a non-clinical environment Experience working with Pediatric population Additional Requirements Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, therapists, and healthcare providers Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation Prior school-based experience highly preferred What You’ll Do Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day Implement and monitor student health plans Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities when assigned Communicate significant status changes to family, school staff, and clinical leadership Provide first aid, daily medical care, and emergency support Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and HIPAA requirements Why You’ll Love Working With Us At The Stepping Stones Group, we know that great outcomes for students start with supported, empowered clinicians.
