AP Accountant

AP AccountantAccountant LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Accountant to support a broad range of general accounting activities. This hands-on position will assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, close processes, accounts payable, financial analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general ledger accounting, solid Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This position is 100% onsite and will pay between $65K and $80K annually. This is a temp to hire opportunity with the intention of hiring a long term employee.ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review, and record journal entriesComplete monthly balance sheet and general ledger reconciliationsAssist with month-end and year-end closing activitiesProcess complex intercompany accounts payable transactionsReview payable activity for sales tax, use tax, coding accuracy, and supporting documentationResearch discrepancies and resolve accounting or payment-related issuesProcess employee travel and expense reports in accordance with established policiesReview and reconcile transactions between affiliated entitiesMaintain accurate and complete general ledger recordsAssist with audit requests and financial reporting activitiesAnalyze financial information and investigate unusual account variancesUse Excel to organize, reconcile, and evaluate accounting dataPartner with internal departments to obtain accurate and timely financial informationPerform purchase order and inventory reconciliationsSupport additional accounting projects and process improvements as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldAt least three years of progressive accounting experienceStrong knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliationsExperience supporting monthly and annual close processesPrevious exposure to intercompany accounting is preferredProficiency with Microsoft Excel, including lookup formulas and data analysis toolsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines independentlyExperience working with an ERP or similar accounting system is preferredPrevious audit support or multi-entity accounting experience is a plusWhat the Position OffersOpportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of accounting functionsHands-on involvement in both transactional and general accounting activitiesCollaborative and team-oriented working environmentPotential for continued professional development and long-term growthPay Details: $65,000.00 to $78,000.00 per yearSearch managed by: Christopher RileyBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
