Licensed / License‑Eligible Clinical AssessorSecond Chances Comprehensive Services (SCCS)Position OverviewSecond Chances Comprehensive Services is seeking dedicated and detail‑oriented Licensed and License‑Eligible Clinical Assessors to complete comprehensive clinical evaluations for individuals seeking behavioral health services. This is a contract position requiring strong assessment skills, clinical judgment, and familiarity with Virginia regulatory standards.Assessors will complete face‑to‑face Comprehensive Needs Assessments and associated intake documentation in alignment with DMAS, DBHDS, CARF, and SCCS guidelines.Candidates must be fully licensed or license‑eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct face‑to‑face Comprehensive Needs Assessments in accordance with DMAS, DBHDS, CARF, and SCCS regulations.Complete all required intake documentation, including:Individual Service Plans (ISPs)Initial Service AuthorizationsClient Orientation PacketsRequired legal documentsPerform clinical intakes and initial screenings to determine appropriate levels of care.Formulate diagnostic impressions and develop preliminary treatment plans.Coordinate care with internal treatment teams and external providers as needed.Participate in required clinical trainings (compensated).Maintain thorough and compliant documentation following medical record and regulatory standards.Equal Employment OpportunitySecond Chances is committed to the principle of Equal Employment Opportunity for all employees and applicants.
