Location: New York, NY
Duration: 8 Weeks
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Dietetic Technician for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Assist with nutrition and dietary service operations.
- Support feeding management and nutrition-related processes.
- Maintain accurate patient and nutrition records.
- Utilize electronic feeding management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Collaborate with dietitians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and facility policies.
- Assist with preparation, monitoring, and documentation of nutrition-related services.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Perform mathematical calculations related to dietary and nutrition services.
- Support daily operations within the Mixing Room department.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate Degree required.
- Food Safety Certification required.
- Minimum two (2) years of hospital nutrition-related experience required; OR
- Currently enrolled in an approved nutrition education program as recognized by the department.
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical nutrition setting.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to nutrition services.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic systems.
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Student enrolled in Nutrition or a related field preferred.
