Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Pay Range: $15.00 - $22.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise the customer service levels in the retail showroom, including execution of customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…). Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late-afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring training updates. Assist in the hiring process: complete recruiting tasks, schedule and participate in interviews, evaluate candidates and collaborate with management to select qualified team members. Make sure the telephone is answered according to company policy. Ensure all buy-online/ship-to-store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders are processed timely and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals. Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and per procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently, issue refunds accurately, and stage returned merchandise properly. Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure team members comply with company policies: posted work schedule, approved deviations, and proper clock‑in/out. Perform all store opening/closing duties: day‑end procedures, verify/securing money/deposits per policy, prepare bank deposits, secure building and delivery vehicles, and maintain security lights and alarms. Assist the store manager in maintaining store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. Perform all other duties as assigned. SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Total Compensation Package Competitive Wages & Paid Time Off.
