For the majority of direct labor positions, ServiceSource will obtain documentation of a significant disability as per the JWOD Act.**Job Summary**Ensure compliance with the performance work standards for food handling, serving, cleaning and distribution. Perform a wide variety of manual tasks in the kitchen or dining area of a dining facility, which involves light to moderate physical effort and is done according to established procedures. **Must be available all three shifts, days, nights, weekends, and, holidays.****Primary** **Duties****Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.** These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.* Set up food on cafeteria lines and portion food for individual servings in accordance with instructions.* Replace glassware, dishes, and silverware and refill condiment containers. Wipe and wash tables and countertops.* Clean work area, utensils, and equipment; remove garbage; mop floors; clean walls and windows.* Remove dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware from serving counters. Mix washing solutions and operate electric dish washing machine and/or wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots and pans, and kitchen utensils by hand.* Prepare food by paring, cutting, dicing, chopping, washing and/or cleaning vegetables and fruits and/or opening cans and cartons.**Additional Responsibilities*** Maintain the following in a sanitary condition: equipment, work areas, utensils, and tables.* Notify supervisor immediately of malfunctioning, inoperative, unsafe, or hazardous equipment cleaned or used.* Perform other responsibilities as assigned.**Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s****)*** High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.* Must pass a military installation background check is required.**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*** Good verbal communication skills.* Excellent customer service skills.* Well-organized and self-directed.* The ability, after training, to serve customers at an efficient pace while providing friendly customer service.**Physical Demands**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. **Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions**.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
