Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (MICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Medical ICU managing high-acuity conditions including sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory failure, shock, multi-organ failure, and post-cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management
• Manage patients on advanced support modalities including CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella
• Care for patients undergoing pre-VAD workups, alcohol withdrawal, and overdose management
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2, with occasional 1:1 assignments based on patient acuity
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records (required)
• Float to other units as needed per facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/MICU nursing experience
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for patients on ECMO, Impella, IABP, or CRRT
• Familiarity with targeted temperature management protocols
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
